I am delighted that the people of East Hull have once again put their faith in me, and it is an honour to continue to represent you. On what was an extremely disappointing night for the Labour Party, I am humbled by the fact that the people of East Hull chose a better future, and chose hope, by voting Labour. But regardless of whether you voted for me, I will work tirelessly every day to fight for you inside and outside of Parliament.
