The Tyred campaign was formed when three people tragically lost their lives in 2012 when their coach crashed. The crash was caused by a tyre that was nearly 20 years old. Tyres of that age on public service vehicles are completely legal. That has to change.

The tireless work of Frances Molloy, the Tyred campaign, and colleagues including Maria Eagle MP has ensured there is now reason for hope. But one year on from the Government promising a change in the law, we have still not seen this happen.

Today, I asked the Transport Secretary Grant Shapps to get it done.
