After local constituents raised their concerns about social distancing in the Asda Mount Pleasant Superstore and Asda Kingswood Superstore, I wrote to the chief executive of Asda to raise this matter directly with the company.

This was a huge concern to East Hull residents, myself included, and I hoped that steps could be taken within these areas to make sure that social distancing guidelines were followed.

Following this letter Asda replied to say regional compliance managers will visit the stores to assess the implementation of social distancing measures.

I will keep local residents updated with any further contact from Asda on their findings from the visit and hopes that social distancing can be improved for the safety of staff and their customers.
