Today marks the day that our city and the country move to reopen another step. This is one small step on our battle against Covid-19 but a massive leap for businesses in East Hull and the wider city.

Throughout this pandemic we have seen, time and again, the people of Hull step up to look out for those in need. Where the Government has failed, our community has pulled together and provided. It’s in that sprit we must rebuild as a city, to build a better society for us to live in.

Local businesses are at the heart of our community  and we should be proudly going and supporting them, they have had a really tough time and we should do what our city does best and come out and support our very own small businesses as we move towards normality, we have lots to be proud of in our city and with future investment on the horizon, together we can build back from this pandemic.

In the week that online blogger Skint Dad moved to our city and Hull was named top northern city for tech investment in 2020, things really are looking brighter for our city. Here in this tweet you can see an updated video showcasing the fantastic neighbourhood of Humber street, featuring the new bridge over Castle Street.

We aren’t out of the woods yet and I urge everyone to continue to act responsibly, that way we can ensure we don’t take another step backwards in the battle of Covid-19, but let’s get out there and support our community.
