The news of more Downing Street parties has been a slap in the face for all the people that diligently followed the rules and insulting to the British public. It is utterly ridiculous that the Prime Minister seems to suggest he had no idea he was at a Party.

The Prime Minister has had ample opportunity to be straight with the British public. He is now taking us all for fools. It is shameful for him to hide behind an internal probe, spokespeople or civil servants.

People suffered unimaginable loneliness, hurt and grief during the pandemic, the Prime Ministers partying is so hurtful to all of them. At the time, the rules were that you could only meet one person from outside your household, outdoors and distanced.

Our heroic key workers on the frontline of this pandemic never got to enjoy the booze or snacks the Prime Minister seems to have had a constant supply of.

Yesterday, I asked my question during Prime Minister’s Questions and he shows that he’s not sorry for breaking the rules, he’s sorry because he’s been caught. He’s bang to rights, and couldn’t be bothered to give me a proper answer.

The party is over – he must resign.
